We offer a wide range of services for your pet as follows:
Dog Grooming
Prices start from as little as £6.00
As a rule a full groom from start to finish takes about 2 hours, depending on the type and length of coat and the size of the animal. Hand stripping however may take anything up to 5 hours. Our aim is to keep owners and pets happy so we can follow any special requirement eg: keeping eyelashes, cutting tails shorter etc. Whilst in for grooming your pet can be de–fleaed or micro chipped.
Most breeds should come into the grooming parlour every 8 weeks or so but poodles and bichons should be every 4 – 6 weeks in order to stop their coats from becoming too knotty. We are happy for you to bring your pet in between clips just for a brush out and a bath to prevent matting under their armpits and legs. Especially if he / she will not let you groom them and you want their feathering left longer.
Detailed records of grooming are kept after each visit to ensure your pet looks and feels wonderful after every appointment!
Winter cuts
For some reason people think their pets do not need grooming during the winter months as they will be too cold! This is a misconception, if you think about it if your pet becomes knotted and matted they will retain water making your pet even colder and staying wetter for much longer. So keeping your pet well groomed through out the winter will not only keep them feeling and looking great but you will not have that wet "doggy" smell or heavy muddy paws and coats!
We have a range of winter cuts to suit both you and your pet!
Puppies
They should be brought into the grooming parlour as soon as possible so they can become accustomed to being bathed, dried and groomed. To give your puppy a good start in life they should have their first groom between the ages of three and five months.
A full groom includes:
- Skilled, gentle removal of knots and dead hair
- Nail clipping/Ear plucking (where needed) anal check and expression
- Bathing/conditioning and massage
- Blow drying (no cages or cabin dryers used)
- Comprehensive clipping, trimming, and styling by qualified, experienced groomers
- Finished with a lovely conditioning cologne spray
- With lots of love, cuddles and attention at all stages!
Older dog care
Every care is taken to ensure our more mature clients are comfortable too. We may require them to stay with us a little longer to ensure that they can have plenty of rest whilst being groomed. They will be able to sit down as much as possible.
Cats
We are very pleased to offer a specialized grooming service for cats.
We specialize in the removal of matted/knotted hair from short and longhaired cats. Also Lion clips, kitten trims, brush outs and baths.
We do lion clips for longhaired cats such as Persians and for cats that are badly matted. The loin clip is a close shave of the entire body, leaving a mane, furry boots and a partly shaved tail. Very cute! We also have the Chico clip which is similar to the lion but with a cute skirt!
If you do not want your cat completely shaved we can shave out any matted areas and brush out the rest of the coat. We also do brush outs for removal of any dead/loose hair on short and longhaired cats.
We know how to handle cats even the most difficult ones and do not sedate them.
With every groom their nails are trimmed and their ears cleaned. Cats are also given a relaxing spar bath with full body massage, so they are kept looking, feeling and smelling great!
Dog Walking
Prices start from £7.00
A minimum of 20 minutes exercise in your local area. Operating 7 days a week. For longer walks there is a collection and delivery service available.
Dogs require physical and metal simulation. Our dog walking service is designed for those owners who may out at work all day, unexpectedly called away from home, elderly, hospitalised etc.
Your dog will be walked for at least 20 minutes, but longer walks can be arranged.
We mainly operate as single walks giving your pet the full attention they require!
Puppy Care
The early months of a puppy's life are the most important and ideally the puppy should be exposed to a wide range of different experiences,noises,animals and people.
Ultimately, a well socialised puppy is likely to result in a confident, sociable, well-adjusted adult dog. Daily visits can help with house training, as well as playtimes can prevent boredom and chewing problems.
We can visit your puppy for feeding, playtimes, toilet breaks and early socialisation .When your puppy has been fully vaccinated, making use of our grooming parlour will help your puppy to become accustomed to being groomed regularly or our home boarding (dog crèche) or dog walking service are all prefect ways in which to socialise and house train your puppy and get them used to the big wide world.
Pop In Service
Prices start from £7.00
Daily visits to your home. Allow your smaller pets to stay in the comfort of their own home!
Our Pop in service is for anything from a cat to a rat or snake! It is the perfect alternative to catteries or imposing on friends, family or neighbours! Our service is personalised to your individual needs and allows your pets to remain in the security of their own home.
A standard Visit last 20 minutes working to your instructions, for longer appointments there will be an extra charge added.
In addition, we can also bring in the post, take out the bins open and shut curtains, turn lights on and off, water plants. Maintaining the lived in look for added security whilst you are away!
Medication
We are able to give your pet's oral medication and are also experienced in diabetic insulin injection. We can also follow any special diet or food requirements.
Keys
We can either retain your house keys on file or you can choose to have them returned, in which case you will need to contact us on your return home.
If you choose to leave your keys with us on file we can be just a phone call away in an emergency situation. You may be delayed getting home due to a traffic jam or unexpectedly called away on business, lose or have your keys stolen or accidentally lock yourself out.
When not in use keys are held in a coded storage box and no personal information is attached to them.
Daily Crèche
Tender, Loving care in a home environment – A perfect alternative to boarding kennels!
We look after your dog in our own homes. They will be given lots of love and care just as if they were at home. Regular outings during the day over to the Priory Marina or down to the Embankment. Their stay with us will be fun and exciting and a chance for them to socialise with new friends and have lots of fun whilst you are away.
Your dogs will need to be fully vaccinated, and you will need to supply any food if your dog requires feeding during the day .We are also happy for you to supply any chews or favourite treats. Your dog will be returned to you relaxed, happy and contented!
Pet Taxi
You may prefer to keep your car clean and free from per hair or you may just not have the time to take your pet where it needs to go. You may not drive and taxi drivers are becoming more reluctant to carry pets in their vehicles.
We provide a pet transport service where we can help you with home relocation taking your pet to and from the vet, cattery, boarding kennels etc. We can even represent you and the vet and provide you with a report of the vet's instructions.
Collection and Delivery Service
We offer a collection and delivery, so if the car is in for a service, you don't drive or have one of our larger breeds we can come and collect them for you and deliver them safely back looking and feeling great!
Micro – chipping
What would you do if you lost them?
We can micro chip your pet so if the worse did happen your pet can be returned to you as quickly as possible. The small implant holds a bar code which is unique to your pet the information is kept by Pet Log at the Kennel Club, with a simple scan your pet can be easily be traced and brought straight back to you.
